The Great Orator and Entrepreneur
The Netflix special “Frederick Douglass: In His Own Words” is a powerful and moving tribute to one of America’s most influential abolitionists and civil rights leaders. The film, which is based on Douglass’ own speeches and writings, provides a deep and nuanced look at the life and legacy of this remarkable man, who fought tirelessly for the rights and dignity of African Americans throughout the 19th century.
One of the most striking aspects of the film is the way it brings Douglass’ speeches to life, through a combination of powerful performances and evocative imagery. The speeches themselves, which cover a wide range of topics including slavery, freedom, and democracy, are delivered with passion and conviction, and they serve as a powerful reminder of the enduring relevance of Douglass’ message.
Another strength of the film is the way it contextualizes Douglass’ speeches within the broader historical context of the time. The film does an excellent job of showing how Douglass’ words and actions were shaped by the political and social issues of the day, and how they helped to shape the broader movement for abolition and civil rights.

Her Majesty Harriet Tubman
The word “majesty” is typically used to refer to the supreme authority or greatness. It can also be used to refer to the grandeur or impressiveness of something or someone. Harriet Tubman meets all criteria.
Harriet Tubman is often referred to as “Moses” or “Majesty” because of her leadership and bravery in helping enslaved people escape to freedom through the Underground Railroad, a secret network of safe houses and abolitionists. She made more than 13 missions to rescue around 70 enslaved people, using the network of antislavery activists and safe houses known as the Underground Railroad. She risked her life to lead enslaved people to freedom and helped hundreds of enslaved people escape to freedom through the Underground Railroad. Her work as an abolitionist and her dedication to the movement to end slavery in the United States make her a deserving of the title “Majesty”
To the queen.
